The walk of the breastfeeding Madonnas

This walk aims to discover the traces in the city of Cantù of the ancient cult of the breastfeeding Madonnas, that is, the Blessed Virgin feeding the Child Jesus with milk from her breast. Breastfeeding Madonnas are devotional images, usually placed on the access routes to the city, or close to the gates, as if to protect the city and its inhabitants.

The Walk of the town walls

A walk which follows the old layout of the imposing town walls which defended the medieval village of Canturium, in a fascinating journey through time and space.
